The AutoGrid De-clipping Tool is used to de-clip and recover a TEM grid from an AutoGrid ring. Normally clipping a grid into an AutoGrid is considered a permanent modification, but this tool allows the grid to be safely removed and used on both AutoGrid and non-AutoGrid based systems.An AutoGrid is slid into the dovetail of the tool under liquid nitrogen using a set of AutoGrid Tweezers. An AutoGrid is slid into the dovetail of the tool under liquid nitrogen using a set of AutoGrid Tweezers. Then, using a Hook Micro-Tool with Handle the C-clip can be unseated, releasing the grid from the AutoGrid ring.

The AutoGrid De-clipping Tool is made of stainless steel and fits into the cryo grid box pocket of any clipping station.

Note: AutoGrids are a one-time use consumable that can become damaged after de-clipping. We do not recommend re-using AutoGrid Rings and C-clips.
