PELCO SEM specimen sample clamps

The PELCO SEM specimen clamps are designed to hold samples during preparation and mounting including metallographic samples, dimpled TEM samples, SEM specimens. The clamps are spring-loaded, can be used on a hotplate for wax mounting or with cold mounting resins. The larger clamp can accommodate up to 31mm high samples with PEEK soft jaw and removable PEEK cover for hot mount applications. The smaller clamp is self-levelling and applies a fixed clamping force, assuring even spreading of resin, and can be placed directly on a hotplate for rapid curing of M-Bond or similar epoxy adhesives, allowing rapid production of high quality samples.

Large clamp specifications:

• Dimensions 75mm H x 50mm W x 44mm D
• Stable up to 200C for mounting wax, or thermally cured epoxies
• PEEK does not adhere to most resins, allowing for easy clean up
• Ideal for mounting samples in conjunction with Dimpling & Delayering, and Lapping processes

Small clamp specifications:

• Dimensions 29mm H x 19mm W x 19mm D
• Can be placed directly on a hotplate
• Ideal for cross-sectional TEM
• Useful for wedge polishing using the PELCO tripod polisher
