Poly-L-Lysine solution
Poly-l-lysine treated surfaces offer better adhesion for histological sections and other thin specimens.
0.1% w/v aqueous solution; preservative. Adhesive for tissue sections on glass slides. Immunohistochemical techniques, gold labelling, microwave procedures.
Method: Apply 15µl of 0.1% Poly-L-Lysine solution to the surface of slides or vessels required to gain better adhesion; then leave at room temperature for one hour or more. Longer times, up to overnight also work well.
Remove the solution and rinse the treated surface twice with distilled water.
To dry, stand surface vertically. The item is then ready to use. Some users prefer to keep the surface wet until ready for use.
Store at room temperature (18-26°C). Reagent is stable until expiration date shown on label.
Store diluted Poly-L-Lysine solution in refrigerator (2-8°C). The diluted solution is stable for at least three months. Filter diluted solution after use.
