PELCO C-clip TEM grid holder block kit
The PELCO C-clip TEM Grid Holder Block is designed to hold 3mm or 3.05mm TEM grids securely at the rim for grid coating, processing, and handling. It can be used in vacuum deposition systems for applications such as carbon evaporation, sputtering or electron beam deposition. This system is advantageous over “clamping” style grid holder blocks in that the grids are locked into place by the C-clips, fixing their orientation and preventing free rotation of the grids. Additionally the C-clips are much lower profile as compared to a clamping plate, preventing “shadowing” and exposing much more of the surface of the grid.
This block holds a maximum of 45 grids in a densely packed area. The base of the grid holder has venting holes (Ø1mm) for vacuum pumping with counter bored cavities to hold the TEM grids and C-clips. Grooves are provided for easy loading and removing the TEM grids.
Clipping and De-clipping Tools are available to simplify placing and removal of C-clips. The PELCO C-clip TEM Grid Holder Block is available individually (GTP16840-45) as well as kitted with all the tools needed to use this system effectively.
