Miltex biopsy punch, tissue sampling tool

These biopsy punch with plunger are a disposable coring tool designed to core, punch and retrieve samples from thin or soft substrate source materials such as tissue, gels, paper, cloth, leaves, paint chips and films. Ribbed plastic embossed handle with a razor sharp seamless stainless steel cutting tip. Each punch is individually packaged sterile, with a shelf life of 5 years. The punches have an internal plunger designed for safe and efficient removal of the specimen from the tip.

They are available in 5 core size diameters: 1.0, 1.5, 2.0, 3.0 and 4.0mm. All punches are colour coded by size.

This is a disposable sampling tool, ideal for tissue processing or forensic applications. For some applications where contamination is not an issue, the punch is reusable after cleaning.

Cleaning: clean tip between each sample extraction by coring blank filter paper; rinse with ethanol or spray with compressed air to remove dried artifacts. Rinse mat with ethanol after each sample extraction. Autoclave 20 minutes at 120°C and 15psi.
