These 46 x 27 mm glass slides accommodate thin sections of rocks, minerals, cement, concrete, building materials, and bone. Samples can be mounted with epoxy, Crystalbond, or mounting media, with an optional coverslip to minimize light scattering from polishing pits or scratches. For uncovered thin sections, coatings such as oil, Histomount, or clear nail polish can be applied prior to analysis.
